Welcome to Stainforth

Stainforth, a village in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, is situated to the east of the River Ribble with Little Stainforth (or Knight Stainforth) to the west. The village nestles under Stainforth Scar, 2½ miles north of Settle and 3 miles south of Horton-in-Ribblesdale. We hope you'll be interested in this account of village life, past and present, in a corner of the Yorkshire Dales.

Please note the Village hall is CLOSED due to COVID-19 Government Guidelines until further notice.

Defibrillator

Stainforth parish council have purchased an "Automated External Defibrillator". With the kind permission of the owners of the Craven Heifer this AED is now fitted to the right-hand external wall of the Craven Heifer pub, facing the beck. The AED is easy to operate and can be used by anyone in order to help save someone's life. Further information from:

Andy Blackburn - 3 The Hollies, Stainforth. Tel: (01729) 268907 - Nominated Advisor
