Welcome to Stainforth

Stainforth, a village in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, is situated to the east of the River Ribble with Little Stainforth (or Knight Stainforth) to the west. The village nestles under Stainforth Scar, 2½ miles north of Settle and 3 miles south of Horton-in-Ribblesdale. We hope you'll be interested in this account of village life, past and present, in a corner of the Yorkshire Dales.
